All of Cathy’s horses are competed and worked barefoot, and live as naturally as possible with 24hour turn-out. In summer horses are checked daily and fed as appropriate. In winter hay is provided as necessary. Horses and ponies are clipped and rugged, but as minimally as possible. If you are interested in this livery you must be prepared to remove hind shoes, as our horses live in groups. You will receive support, but not pressure!, if you wish to use natural horsemanship methods of training, competing barefoot etc. This is NOT just grass livery and the cost of £200 pcm reflects this.
We no longer offer full livery service here at Skreens Park Farm, but Cathy is happy to discuss working livery arrangements. Pied Horse is always looking for competition horses/ponies who need a quieter life, but still have a lot to offer to our students.
